When the video production room was originally built at US Bank Stadium proper cooling measures were not taken into consideration, leaving the space extremely hot on game days. Maintaining a stable temperature and humidity within tight tolerances is critical to IT system reliability. LS Black was hired to oversee and manage these major upgrades to the cooling system, while also replacing and restructuring the layout of the room to ensure an efficient air flow throughout the spaces. During construction, the team had to take strict precautions not to damage the servers and video production equipment below the work being conducted. Working with the owner, engineers, and M&E contractors, an up-flow air system was selected that included built-in automatic alerts when conditions within the server room move outside defined tolerances.
