St. Paul, Minnesota – LS Black Constructors, a full-service construction firm located in St. Paul, MN, is pleased to announce the promotion of Jim French to Chief Operating Officer (COO). French most recently served as Vice President of Operations and has been with the firm since 2006. In his new role, French will continue to be responsible for the company’s operations, with an increased responsibility and focus on driving the firm’s strategic prioritization, accountability, and operational excellence.

French has more than 15 years of experience in construction management, business development and financial operations. He specializes in delivering work for the Federal Government and has helped to deliver major assignments for such clients as US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC), and the Minnesota National Guard. His project experience includes government facilities and public spaces, transportation facilities and infrastructure, and higher education buildings and facilities. Prior to joining LS Black Constructors, French worked at JLG Architects as an Architect. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Minnesota.
