2022 Wild Rivers Conservancy Donation

LS Black Constructors is gearing up to host the 2023 Berkley Duckson Memorial Fishing Tournament! The tournament was started to memorialize and celebrate the life of Berkley Duckson, nephew of CEO Sterling Black, who was killed in a tragic snowmobiling accident. Berkley was an avid fisherman and he loved the outdoors. In 2022, LS Black Constructors presented a donation to Wild Rivers Conservancy in Osceola, WI, for $1,660. In 2023, we will be collecting a donation from each angler and donating 100% of the proceeds to the Wild Rivers Conservancy. We’re looking forward to a fun and relaxing day of fishing on the St. Croix and Mississippi Rivers – and it’s all for a great cause!

More about Wild Rivers Conservancy: The Wild Rivers Conservancy of the St. Croix and Namekagon is the official nonprofit partner of the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway. Together with the National Park Service and many conservation partners, their team works to perform the following core functions:

  • Land Conservation
We work to protect and restore important natural and scenic areas along the river and throughout the watershed by partnering with land protection organizations.
  • Water Quality Protection
We focus on improving water quality, recognizing its interconnection with land use.
  • River Corridor and Watershed Stewardship
We engage people in educational, recreational, and volunteer stewardship activities that give them an understanding and motivation to advocate at the local, state, and national levels on behalf of the river’s values.
  • Celebration
The St. Croix River watershed is a national treasure. We live, work and play in the St. Croix River watershed because we love this place, and we celebrate that love at every opportunity.
