LS Black is proud to announce the successful completion of the new Fort McCoy Transient Training Brigade Headquarters building, a state-of-the-art, 23,252 SF facility that recently received LEED Gold Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. This milestone highlights LS Black’s continued commitment to sustainable construction and its long-standing partnership with Fort McCoy.

The two-story, design-bid-build building features a modern and durable design. Key elements of the project include a full elevator system, aluminum doors and windows, and extensive site work. Photovoltaic solar panels (the first of their kind at Fort McCoy) installed on the roof further enhance the building’s sustainability profile by providing renewable energy and reducing operational costs.

Originally targeted for LEED Silver, the project exceeded expectations by earning LEED Gold Certification, underscoring the project team’s dedication to environmentally responsible construction and innovation.
